Custom Control Panels
This panel was built for a customer in the US to control the conveyors feeding into and out from the spiral conveyor, the spiral conveyor itself, and the belt washing system for the spiral conveyor in the customer’s bakery.
The four PowerFlex 755 VFDs work in tandem with one another to help pull the long belt of the spiral conveyor while the PowerFlex 525 VFDs feed the other six conveyors, Belt Wash Blower Motor and Pump. We incorporated 2 safety zones, one for the spiral conveyor and everything associated with it and the other for the conveyors outside the spiral.
The various control devices out in the field for the spiral conveyor and belt wash system come back to the PLC which controls precisely how long to wash the spiral conveyor belt based on customer and industry specification as well as indicates, via beacon lights, what stage the process is in.
The Stratix 5700 ethernet switches in this panel not only allow us to communicate to the various devices during commissioning, it also allows Plant IT to integrate our control panel into their network so they can monitor the system remotely.
